External Thermal Insulation Composite System of Buildings
The Thermal Insulation in a building is made by placing thermal insulating plates on the outside of its vertical walls. Each building has different parameters that need to be taken into account for the implementation of a successful Thermal Insulation. It is alternative application of conventional insulation (double masonry insulation and concrete insulation)
It is an insulation and renovation solution for the old buildings providing spectacular thermal effect, saving of useful space, architectural freedom and durability. It ensures a 45-60% consumption reduction for heating or air conditioning as the indoor temperature is kept stable for a longer period of time. Eliminates thermal bridges (points where thermal insulating material is interrupted) at the contact points of the beams and the wall-panels.
Energy saving
The spectacular insulating effect of the thermal facade (Shell) is based on 2 basic characteristics. Firstly, the elimination of thermal bridges (points where the thermal insulation material is interrupted) at the points of contact of the beams and columns with the masonry, secondly, a basic principle “Thermal insulation is more effective when placed on the outside of the building”. This way we ensure a reduction of 45-60% electricity consumption for heating or cooling, since the indoor temperature remains constant for a longer period of time.
Saving useful space
Moreover, because the thermal insulation becomes externally, the internal area of the buildings is not reduced. It provides the possibility of renewal of external walls giving freedom of architectural design, choosing various colors and styles. Furthermore, the normal operation of the building is not interrupted and the work is done only externally.
Value added investment
The external thermal insulation protects against moisture, rainwater and does not allow the growth of mold and microorganisms. According to Directive 2002/91/EC, building acquire an energy identity which depends on the total consumption in kwh/m2. In buildings that do not meet the requirements of the energy identity will not be able to make purchases and leases. The high class energy identity will increase the commercial and reduce the objective value of building.
